Can a uti cause a yeast infection?

Antibiotics: No, a bacterial urinary track infection cannot cause a yeast infection, however the antibiotics used to treat bacterial urinary track infections certainly can lead to yeast overgrowth by killing off your body's "good" bacteria.

Not directly: If you are given an antibiotic for the uti, then the medication itself will not only kill the bad bacteria causing the infection but also the good ones. This results in a change in the environment in the vaginal area, allowing for the overgrowth of yeast.
