A member asked:

Is it normal to not get your period in 3 months?

Depends: If you are a teenager, it is normal for the first year to have irregular periods that come more or less often than the standard 28 day cycle. If you are in your 50's or nearing menopause, it is also common to have irregular menses. See your doctor for a pregnancy test and to discuss options on how to regulate your cycle.

No: A normal cycle can vary from 21-35 days generally. If you have not had a period in 3months this can be due to pregnancy, thyroid problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome, stress, too much exercise, eating disorders, serious medical conditions, trauma & other hormonal imbalances. You should see your physician to discuss further work up.
