A member asked:

Why does a person "drum" with his fingers constantly? is it a habit or something neurological?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neurosis : Drumming fingers, picking at fingers and nail biting are all physical manifestations to stress, anxiety or obsessive behavior. Generally, these neuroses or habits are not considered outside the societal norm and not detrimental to the person or others. These habits can be hard to break.
