Lacunar nfarction: Be sure your blood pressure is normal. One of the most common causes of lacunar infarcts is high blood pressure.

See neurologist: 44 years of age is early to have a lacunar infarct and it suggests vascular disease. It would be prudent to get evaluated for the extent of disease and treatment.
