A member asked:

I have just found a small purple lump on the lower part of my breast it looks like a blood blister but it's not, what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Angioma, venous lake: This is most likely a common skin lesion. Almost everyone gets a few and some people get 100's. It is a dilated blood vessel and it can be red or purple. They are round and sit slightly above the skin. They usually cause no symptoms, however in this location it could get rubbed by your bra. These do not go away. Can be treated with pdl laser, no scarring. If traumatic should resolve in a wks.
