What causes stretch marks? what can be done about them?

Skin tears: Stretch marks are tears in the skin cause by weight gain. They can be covered up, but not improved by creams and lotions. The only possibly effective therapy is cosmetic plastic surgery, but that's a big step for a non-health and non-life threatening problem.

It began whilst I was doing yoga, I feel i may have done nerve damage to my lower back to cause the severe aching of the whole muscle area of my calf/including the front. Its been present since August & it has been constant. Stretching aggravates it.
When eating my throat gets a burning spot it feels like size quarter. 3 yrs ago esophageal ulcer didnt burn. Had ( forgot its called) procedure done stretched my throat to swallow better. Untill Dr advice please and possible causes thank you?
