Bed to sleep: Don't stay in bed! only at night to sleep. Staying in bed too much after surgery can be dangerous, causing blood clots in your legs. Your vaginal tissues will be fully strong in 6 weeks after surgery, perhaps a week or two longer if you are on steroids or have diabetes. At four weeks you should be able to do all of your normal activities except for vaginal intercourse and any heavy lifting/straini.
