No..identical!: As the word identical means: identical! thus must be of the same gender. There are fraternal twins and that can be either gender or one of each...:-)).

Identical twins: Identical twins are always the same sex. They have the same genetic endowment. Fraternal twins are siblings that were in utero together. Fraternal twins can be the same sex or the opposite sex.
