Scoliosis & pain: Scoliosis often causes pain in the muscles of the back due to the asymmetric stress of the curvature. This may be in the form of myofascial pain with trigger points that may respond to injection of local anesthetic followed by stretching. Scoliosis may also produce spasm that may respond to the application of ice, medications such as cyclobenzaprine or injection of Botulinum toxin.

Scoliosis: Scoliosis is abnormal curvature of the spine bending sideways. Trigger point injections are done in the painful parts of the muscles. There is no way trigger point injections would do anything to the scoliosis. Sometimes, scoliosis may lead to muscles spasms which may be helped with trigger point inj. It is temporary and should be combined with proper physical therapy.
