Relaxation technique: The fight or flight response is a sympathetic/adrenaline state. The way to counteract that is to work on whatever relaxation techniques work for you like exercise/meditation/prayer/breathing techniques. It takes work and it is always useful to get help from others who can guide you. Also remember that one of the most important things you can do is ensure that you get 7-8 hours of quality sleep.
