Get checked: A scab or non-healing sore is concerning. if you have a significant history of sun exposure with or without sunscreen use, you could have a small skin cancer. This should be evaluated by an ENT specialist or a dermatologist who can evaluate the scab and perform proper biopsies, if they are warranted. There are several non-cancerous problems that occur in that area that might need biopsy, too.
