This normal.: The tonsil bed forms a white scab after tonsil removal. It will fall off gradually between 5-10 days after surgery. It is common to experience pain when the scab comes off. Just let doctor know if you get persistent bleeding. Unusual to perform " partial tonsillectomy." Usually recommend all the tonsil should be removed.
