Not much: Sometimes it is required to take out teeth to create room for your other teeth to be straigtned.

Braces: Having teeth removed in order to straighten the teeth is sometimes necessary especially if you have bad crowding. There is no pain during the actual extraction because you will be numb but there will be some discomfort after. When you are done with your orthodontic treatment, you or anyone else will not be able to tell you are missing teeth without counting them.
