A member asked:

For people who've had tracheostomy, is it save to use perfumes or after shaves?

Upper/Lower: Perfumed products may trigger bronchospasm of the lower airway, which can be relieved by albuterol. The tracheostomy stabilizes the upper airway and the use of perfume should be fine, unless it causes nasal, eye or sinus irritation.
