Need expert advice. after usg, my doctor asked me to test ca 125. i have 58. what does it mean?

Tumor marker: Research is ongoing to try to achieve earlier detection for ovarian cancer. CA125 is most commonly elevated with advanced stage ovarian cancer, but there can be false elevations as well. Please ask your doctor what it means in your case, but most times blood work needs to be correlated with imaging studies or the physical exam.
