Denervation: Muscles can twich from denervation or direct irritation. In the case of denervation the nerve supply to part of the muscle may have been dysrupted. Circulating catecholamines (epinephrine and norepinephrine) can result in direct stimulation of the muscle fibers). The normal intact neuromusclar junction reponds to acetylcholine (nicotinic receptors).
