Alcohol, aspirin: You can have a drink while on a blood thinner, but there are some important cautions...1) only moderately, as these medications are metabolized by the liver and alcohol could affect their metabolism, 2) getting intoxicated while on a blood thinner and injuring oneself would be very dangerous, 3) the medication should never be consumed with the alcohol, as this could dangerously affect absorption.

Not best, both slow: blood clotting. Aspirin inhibits platelet activation; Xarelto inhibits clot formation. Both Rxed because of evidence/concern of forming clots inside blood vessels, not just at blood vessel breaks, thus bleeding is ↑ed because slows clotting at all locations. They do NOT thin blood; blood viscosity does not change. Etoh, a depressant, both ↑es chances for injury/bleeding & may change drug efficacy.
