Just keep clean...: Some degree of pain, redness, and "swelling" at incision are expected, worst for 1-2 days, and get better day by day afterwards. As long as it moves in such expected postop course, you're ok. All you need to do is do nothing but keep the incision dry and clean. Why? What we do after skin edges seal will make no difference to the tissue beneath the skin. If still in doubt, see doc timely.
