Yes: Yes pinworms are passed through contact between two people. This can be avoided by proper hand washing however young children typically are a major reservoir for infection because they obviously don't comply with strict hygeine rules.

Agree w Dr. Essers: In addition to not washing hands after using the toilet, the pinworm can be spread through bed linens. Ensure that all family members are treated. Wash bed linens, recently worn clothing, upholstered furniture and carpeting.
