Would a hip impingement cause lower quadrant pain or abdominal pain ? right above the crease of the leg when sitting down at all ?

Its possible: It reminds me of an elderly patient i had recently, who did not fall but complained of rlq abd pain for several days. On exam, pain was in the area you describe. On workup, we found a right hip fracture. I'm not saying you have a hip fracture, but pain generated from the hip joint actually is felt more in the inguinal (groin) area, and not the lateral aspect everyone thinks of with a hip prob.

Possible. : Get a liver function test and also a ct or ultrsound of abdomen and xray of hip/ /lumbo sacral spine if pain persists.
