Sounds treatable: Try otc use of selsun blue. Sometimes we have minimal-symptom fungal infections of the scalp that can present like this. If this does the trick, keep using it for another week beyond resolvement, and for any flare-ups. If it doesn't work, call your doctor for an appointment for further evaluation.
