Yes, it's "real low": For best effects you want 25-hydroxy vitamin d to be at least 50 ng/ml. Range of normal is 30-74 ng/ml. So you can see how your 18 compares to those values. Your doctor will likely want to replace vit d -- can use 10, 000iu/day for several months and then re-test. Good luck!
