A member asked:

How is a retinoblastoma caused?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chromosme 13: Has a paired site where the rb gene lives. It can be inherited, or occur accidentally (sporadic) mutation. The rb gene loss leads to the eye tumor, but it is also is involved with other tumors, and its chromosomal location is close to a region associated with bone tumors.
