Does asthma normally caused by allergies? do you normally get treated for both?

Either or both: Asthma, allergies, and eczema are all considered "atopic" disorders. An individual can have one or all of them. If you have allergies and asthma, the allergies can most definitely trigger asthma attacks. Generally treating both aggressively with preventative medication can reduce your symptoms.

Can be; get checked: Allergies can play a role in asthma, but many other factors contribute. 100 yrs ago, asthma was categorized as "extrinsic" vs. "intrinsic"; extrinsic asthma associated with respiratory allergies and a younger age, and intrinsic with viral infections, nasal polyps, aspirin sensitivity, acid reflux, sinusitis, and onset in adulthood. We now recognize much overlap. Check w/ an allergist;find out.
