A member asked:

Could being addicted to seroquilin kill you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Seroquel (quetiapine) is not a drug which produces physical dependency, so you cannot be "addicted" to it. If it is being prescribed for schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, it helps people live more normal lives and be able to think more clearly. All drugs have potential side effects, and seroquel (quetiapine) can cause weight gain, diabetes and high cholesterol and contribute to heart disease, and od is possible as well.
