A member asked:

Could drying process kill spirilina?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oh, it's dead: Spirulina is dead, dried algae (actually, blue-green bacteria) in a bottle. Like all once-living things, it contains nutrients and because of the marketing, people are willing to pay good money for it. It's been around for decades and when somebody tells you it's a "superfood", just put our hand over your wallet and move on.
