A member asked:

Can people who suffer from asperger's syndrome usually suffer from severe anxiety?

Many have anxiety!: Individuals with asperger's, by the very nature of their difficulties, are more prone to rejection, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation of their actions. Consequently, they are more vulnerable to develop emotional problems, such as depression and anxiety.

Anxiety and Asperger: Yes, a person who has asperger's syndrome can have all the mental health issues as anyone else. They may be more prone to anxiety because they have trouble with social relationships and social cues (being able to read others intentions and meaning). Seeking assistance for anxiety may include social groups lead by a therapist, use of medications, and others.
