Take your pill: Do not alter your birth control pill schedule based on your period or any other bleeding. The pills are to be taken on a set schedule and as consistently as possible if you wish to be protected. Most packs have a pill to take every day and are to be taken in the order specified in the pack. Some packs have 21 days of pills, then you wait 7 days and start again. Do NOT adjust based on your period.
