How to know if i have to disinfect a scratch?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clean a scratch: Scratches can serve as a portal for disease - and of course there are many germs to watch out for. Thus, it's important to know the circumstances of the scratch. Luckily though, scratches are easy to clean - and simple soap and water will often do the trick. Try to remove any foreign material such as dirt that might be in there. I like to finish my soap and water lavage with a splash of alcohol.
