What are reasons why would my toothache still happen, even after 5000 mg of paracetamol?

Treatment ?: Has the tooth been treated by a dentist or are you taking the pain killers just to cope? Analgesics will not treat a rotten tooth, just the symptom of pain. Also, 5000mg (10 tablets) all at once is way beyond recommended dose and can result in liver damage. Please see a dentist.

Wrong Rx: Analgesic masks symptoms (pain) brought on by severe infection. Rx of the infection (root canal rx or extraction) required to remove infected tissue. Would you let infection anywhere else in your body go untreated. See endodontist who will consult w your ob. Go now.

See a dentist ASAP: If you have a toothache, you may have an infected cavity with nerve damage. A tooth pain won't go away without dental treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use NSAID OTC or paracetamol for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment and definitive treatment.
