A member asked:

Why is the huntington's disease brain smaller than the normal brain? explanations please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Loss of neurons: People with advanced Huntingtons have a smaller brain because some of the neurons have degenerated over time. Loss of neurons results in less brain tissue and a lower brain mass and volume.
