Several reasons: Fast heart rate may occur with several situations/ conditions as anemia, fever, hyperthyroidism, low blood pressure, stress, caffeine, smoking, exercise, poor physical shape, deconditioning, medications, decongestants. Usually not dangerous. If it persists for a while have it checked by pcp.
