Grinding teeth: The most common reason for the lower anterior teeth to chip is from teeth to teeth wear or attrition. This is usually due to bruxism or grinding if teeth together as a habit. Often done overnight. The back side of upper front teeth and the front side of lower front teeth wear and thin. These edges will break off or chip causing serrations or back of tooth shear off. May need mouthguard.
