How about meditation: I am not a believer or fan of the idea that there is any benefit to using psychedelic drugs. You have just as good a chance at a bad trip, a psychotic episode or recurrent flashbacks as you do of any "enlightenment." dmt is particularly dangerous. I would recommend yoga, meditation, exercise and reading the great philosophers of both east and west rather than drugging yourself into nirvana.

There is no magic...: ...pill for enlightenment or self-discovery & it’s intellectually lazy to think there is. Under the influence of these substances your thinking isn’t more profound or insightful; it only SEEMS that way. They induce a state that endows your thoughts with an artificially & inappropriately heightened significance. In the quest for self-realization drugs are no substitute for hard work & perseverance.
