Avoid the contactant: That may sound like a flippant answer, but the fact that your contact dermatitis is recurring means you are repeatedly coming in contact with the substance you are allergic to. It needs to be identified, if you don't already know what it is, and then you need to stay away from it.

Bathe only with a small amount of mild unscented soap, such as dove. Keep the water temperature cool or warm, not hot. Use the medicine your doctor gave you. Use a plain moisturizer daily. Avoid scratching or rubbing the itchy area. Manage stress.
