Coffee ; medications: There is a handful of medications that coffee can interfere with. You can speak to your pharmacist about any specific medication you are taking to inquire whether coffee interferes with its absorption, but as a general rule it is better to not drink coffee for about 2 hours after taking medication. Caffeine can affect the metabolism of tegretol and vice versa, but the interaction is minimal.
