Yes: In my practice, with my patients, I have not had anyone related any complaints regarding taking milk with Ambien (zolpidem) in the many years I have prescribed the sleeping pill. If you have any specific concerns, please ask the clinician who is prescribing you the ambien (zolpidem).

Yes it is ok: Take your Ambien (zolpidem) as prescribed by your doctor. But medications are only part of the treatment. Good sleep hygiene is key. Try to avoid electronics, nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, vigorous exercise, bright lights, ; large meals prior to bedtime. Regularize your sleep ; wake up times. Understanding why you have insomnia can be effective in treating it. A sleep physician can help with figuring that out.
