No: Lou gehrig's disease or ALS is unfortunately not curable at this time. There is a drug, riluzole, that may slow the progression of the disease. More information can be found at: http://www.Alsa.Org/.

ALS Lou Gehrig's: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (als), often referred to as "lou gehrig's disease, " is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. While there is not a cure that halts or reverses als, there is one fda approved drug, riluzole, that slows progression.

Sorry, not yet: The sole approved drug by the FDA is Riluzole, and otherwise, not a cure, just delays need for tracheostomy tube. We are not even close at this time, but diligent work proceeds, and knowledge increases, leading me to suspect we will advance.
