Opportunities abound: One "simple" strategy is to take the following approach: When encountering behavior in others that elicits unwanted/negative feelings in you, see this as the other person seeking help for something, but not knowing how to ask for it. Then figure out a way to help them. If you are earnest, regardless of what they first thought of you, they will see your caring and the relationship will improve.
