A member asked:

Does wearing contact lense damge your eyes ? and increase the eyes minus ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shouldn't: Properly fitted contact lenses will not damage the eyes nor contribute to a change in the eye power. Myopia tends to progress at a rate which slows through the teen years and less so in the early twenties when it finally stops. This will occur whether or not contact lenses are worn.
