Bruising Knee: It depends on the histoty, if there is history of traume you can racall then it is due to injury.But if there is no history of injury then you have to think of problems with clotting system in your blood, which makes you bruise easily spontaneously or with minimal unknown trauma.

Bruising: Yes the bruising is due to an injury unless you have some type of bleeding disorder.
