No simple sugars: You don't want simple sugars or highly processed foods as these increase your Insulin and lead to more fat deposition. Lean protein, fresh fruits and especially vegetables. Vegetables are low in sugar, high in fiber and make you feel full without adding a lot of calories to your diet. Try to stay within your calorie range for your age. Also be active- that helps the Insulin be more effective.
