Yes, it can: But it is not the drug of choice. Commonly used drugs tot treat bacterial vaginosis are Flagyl and Clindamycin . Side note: BV is not considered std, however, having bacterial vaginosis makes it easier for the person to be infected with HIV if your sexual partner has hiv.
