No: Your child may not inherit the disease. Also, depending on your diagnosis, your child may not be at significant risk. I would discus your thoughts with your doctor.

Child: The genetic risks involved in transmission of a psychiatric illness varies, if you intend to get pregnant a genomic analysis and consultation would be good but that should not preclude you from having a child if you are able to love, nuture and provide safe care.
