How to know if i have parkinson's disorder?

Dr. Peter Lin answered

See a neurologist: Parkinson's disease is usually diagnosed by a neurologist. The diagnosis is made by a clinical examination. There are no specific blood tests or brain scans to make the diagnosis. The hallmark features are shaking (tremor) usually while relaxed, slowness of movement, stiffness, and difficulty with walking. Symptoms progress so a diagnosis may need to be made over time if unclear at first.
