Depends on source: Hospital acquired mrsa infections usually require iv vancomycin for coverage. Community acquired infections often are responsive to Sulfa meds like bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and/or clindamycin. Best to get culture and sensitivity testing done.
