Urine test, no pain: Testing for urethral (penile) chlamydia in men is usually done on urine, so providing the sample is painless. The test is slightly more accurate when done on a swab passed into the penis, which is somewhat painful, but only very briefly and it might sting a little the next couple times you urinate. If your doctor recommends the swab test, follow her or his advice. But also ask about urine testing.
