Tricky question: Many people "outgrow" their childhood asthma. This is really not the case but it can remain dormant lifelong. Exercise induced asthma may be caused by outdoor pollution or allergens (pollen, etc) , cold air (skiing) or swimming (chlorine). Minimizing your "trigger(s)' may allow you to "outgrow" you type of asthma. Good luck.

Possible but: Unlikely. First you need to get examined to make sure that you are not having asthma even if you don't feel it. If your lung function is normal otherwise, then the exercise-induced asthma may depend on the intensity and duration of the exercise .Elite athletes may suffer exercise-induced bronchoconstriction which can go away by reducing the intensity or using a bronchodilator.
