It depends: it depends on what kind of Cancer you have and what all has been done for you already. If the chemotherapy has been fully utilized, then it is good to switch over to Palliative care. Life support means different things to different folks. You should seek a palliative care specialist.

Unclear question: Please ask your question more clearly. Chemo can be stopped anytime if it is not working. Life support is not useful if the Cancer is terminally advanced. Ask your oncologist to guide you further.
