Could medications be easily used to manage my father's valve leakage at 70 years as is sometimes breathless?

Maybe: Medications are often used in heart failure due to valve insufficiency. However surgery is sometimes the best treatment depending on the patient and the sererity of valve dysfunction. Medicines are not a panacea.
